NOTE: NOLO’s Patent It Yourself book is an invaluable resource. It was written for lay people and inventors to teach them about how to file a patent with the US Patent & Trademark Office. However, many patent attorneys use this book as a step-by-step guide for their own practice, as it helps them distill the knowledge they acquired over the years into a tangible set of steps. Highly recommended.
